One day my friend got a new hard drive for his MacBook and after installing it we had no way to get the data off his old drive. But after some quick thinking we decided to take my own 320 gb Western Digital Passport apart and stick in his old drive so that we could get the data off it. By taking it apart, we got a look at just how high the build quality is--The outer casing is purposefully built "bent" so that it snugs up against the middle section better. The hard drive is in a metal sled which is suspended in the center of the enclosure by rubber form fitting attachments. The whole thing just feels upliftingly sturdy and elegant and makes me feel very confident about the safety of my files.
