I have few drives, 120GB Aluratek, 320GB Iomega, 320GB WD, and this 320GB WD passport. The size of both Aluratek and Iomega drives were a little bit longer (the Aluratek was a little bit thicker) but they were in metal cases, fast, quiet, and cool. Both WD drives were in plastic cases, slower, noisier, and warmer. The Aluratek and Omega were also cheaper. Though all drives never failed me, I loved the Aluratek and Iomega more.Get more detail about Western Digital My Passport Essential 500 GB USB 2.0 Portable External Hard Drive WDME5000TN (Midnight Black).
