Two years ago I bought the 230GB version, and last year I was looking for a newer WD Passport model with much more capacity. As soon as I saw WD lunched the 500GB version I don't doubt a second and bought it. I have now the product for more than 2 months, and as my old drive, the new one is working flawlessly. I use it in the same way as many people uses USB flash drives, with the only difference I have much bigger space for music, videos, mails, etc. Now I'm just waiting for the 1TB version...
