Shop For Western Digital My Passport Essential 500 GB USB 2.0 Portable External Hard Drive WDME5000TN (Midnight Black)

We plugged in our new WD passport, and time machine took over beautifully. However, we have a laptop and as such, it gets moved and bumped quite a lot. We tried to move the HD with the computer or take it out if we were moving it more often. As accidents do happen, the drive slipped out of the USB cable and we got a warning message. After trying to plug it in again and running disk utility, we got nothing. We plugged it into our PC and it says the drive doesn't have any capacity and won't recognize it. We'll call WD and see about a replacement. If data was lost during transfer when it got unplugged, that's understandable. However, frying the entire drive is rather frustrating. Thankfully, we didn't have anything on the drive we don't also have on the computer. We'll get another and maybe it will work better and we'll be more careful. Flukes do happen. It's a lot of storage for a little price, afterall.Get more detail about Western Digital My Passport Essential 500 GB USB 2.0 Portable External Hard Drive WDME5000TN (Midnight Black).
