This was a gift for a relative who just emailed me two days ago with this message:
"I have bad news, the Western Digital Hard Drive that you bought me is not working." I wrote back and asked him to send all pertinent information and he responded:"It just stopped working all of a sudden so I downloaded and ran Western Digital diagnostic and it failed their tests so it appears that I lost all of my data."
Please let me know how to exchange this item for a working model. I am also wondering if there have been problems with this particular item. The relative that I sent this to is extremely responsible with all of his things which is why we purchased this for him.
