The WD 500GB external hard-drive is a cool tool!! It's just what I needed. It's small and portable, has lots of data storage, and no additional power cord is required. It also comes with some software that you may or may not use. The only negative thing that I observed is that the USB cord that came with the drive is way too short. It would probably be suitable if you are using a laptop computer but not for a desktop machine. So you might want to get a longer cord if you are using a desktop computer. Overall this a great device.
