Bought this product a little over a year ago, worked fine for a while. After being stored in a desk for a while with no use, it ceased to work...it just makes a clicking sound and isn't recognized by either a MacBook or a Dell Dimension desktop. Bought the cable recommended by the WD website that is supposed to boost power, and it still doesn't work. Luckily I'm not attached to any of the files on there. Product isn't covered by warranty after a certain period.
